Help...I feel like breaking down totally....?

You are surrounded by people who see someone who they can manipulate every which way they can and when something doesn't go their way, or they don't get what they want, they are going to dump on you, and you take it!!! I'm the same way. I've always looked outside myself for my self esteem and when the approval did not come, I crashed. Based on my mistakes and "it's too late for me know", I'm going to p it along it too. You MUST stop this pattern and take a stand. You may have to go to a therapist, but, you have got to get a grip on this or else you will always be a door mat for everyone and every relationship you will have for the rest of your life. YOU let everyone down., NO!! Just the opposite, they let you down. You sang at a competition and didn't win, and instead of supporting you and congratulating you for getting as far as you did and being proud of you for what you did do, they dis you? Because they didn't get their attention through you? Step back, and look at all this through someone elses eyes. You are your own worst critic. You wouldn't treat a stranger as badly as you are treating yourself and you're letting your friends, brother and others do this to you? Who are they? Who does this girl in your school group think she is? She's doing it because she knows she can pull it off on you and you will crack. I can tell you are a wonderful, caring and giving person. But there comes a time when you have to say, no. Set up your boundaries, and stand up for yourself or you will let others take advantage of yourself and make you sick. It did me. I wound up very sick and now it's too late for me. Years of therapy I finally got it right, so now, I'd like you to get it right and live a happier life. You Dad should know what's going on. Believe me, he loves you and he is your heart. Do not do anything - call him and even if you break down crying, he would want to know what your going through.
