Can I Drive In Europe?

ok, im from the UK im 18 and i ped my test in september last year, im fairly sure i can't drive abroad until ive had my license for a while, but after a brief search i cant find anything saying i can't so does anyone know whether i can drive abroad? (the countrys holland if that helps)
