Yes it sounds patronizing to me. Everyone deserves to be loved. Why should you be lucky. He/she is lucky for not getting screamed at after that was said. That is an insult because someone said that to me, basically so I can believe know one will love me like him but is was wrong. You need to be treated like the queen/king that you are, it should not take LUCK!
