On the CSU application, how important is the date of when your parents claimed CA residency?

In the "California State Resident Information" part of the CSU application, I accidentally put in the wrong date of when my parents claimed CA residency, and I want to know if this mistake will ruin my chances of getting into college. Do they ask to verify the date? The date I put was an umption and not accurate enough because my parents don't remember the actual date. So how bad is this mistake? I already submitted my application.
